Drutopia is an initiative within the Drupal project that prioritizes putting the best online tools into the hands of grassroots groups. By embracing the liberatory possibilities of free software and supporting people-centred economic models, Drutopia aims to revolutionize the way we work and cooperate.
Our client, a prominent national nonprofit in the US, had built a custom Drupal platform for their 50-odd state-level affiliates. Now they needed to get all those affiliates onto the platform by bringing forward their existing web content.
As a relatively new standard, ActivityPub is not yet super well documented either for adopters or for developers. To help address that, in January 2020 we undertook a project to produce ActivityPub documentation guides.
The Eco Learning Hive is a one-stop environmental education shop serving Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Wanting to update the website, the sponsoring organization was interested in moving to a well established CMS such as Drupal and was drawn to the mapping possibilities offered by Open Outreach.
